A hive for the performing arts community
Last updated: April 6, 2026
GigHive is a booking platform that helps event hosts connect with performers, musicians, and studios. We provide tools to browse listings, communicate, and manage booking requests.
Unless we explicitly state otherwise in writing, GigHive is not a party to any agreement between users. Any booking arrangement is made directly between the host and the performer/studio.
You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and obligations relating to your bookings, including licensing, insurance, permits, and any tax reporting or tax payments.
GigHive does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. GigHive is not responsible for collecting, reporting, or paying your taxes unless we explicitly state otherwise.
You must not use GigHive for unlawful purposes or post content that is misleading, abusive, defamatory, or infringing. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
Payments for bookings are processed securely via Stripe. By making or receiving a payment through GigHive, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
Fee structure (effective from launch)
GigHive is free for performers. Performers receive 100% of the rate they set — no deductions are made from performer payouts.
Fees are charged on top of the performer's rate and are paid by the venue/host:
Example: a performer rate of £300 results in a venue total of approximately £343.63. The performer receives the full £300.
GigHive's platform fees are non-refundable in all circumstances, including but not limited to cancellations, no-shows, disputes, or chargebacks. GigHive acts solely as an introduction platform and is not a party to any booking agreement between a host and a performer.
Early payment and no-show policy: If a host pays a performer before the scheduled event takes place and the performer fails to appear (a "no-show"), GigHive's platform fee and any Stripe payment processing fees will not be refunded under any circumstances. Hosts are strongly advised to make payment only after the event has taken place. GigHive accepts no liability for losses arising from early payment or performer no-shows.
All disputes regarding bookings, payments, cancellations, or performance of services are solely between the host and the performer. GigHive accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or cost arising from such disputes.
If a user initiates a chargeback or payment dispute relating to a GigHive platform fee with their bank or card provider, GigHive reserves the right to suspend or terminate that user's account and to recover any disputed amounts through lawful means.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". GigHive does not guarantee that bookings will be confirmed, completed, or successful.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GigHive is not liable for losses arising from user bookings, user conduct, event outcomes, or disputes between users. GigHive's total liability to any user shall not exceed the platform fees paid by that user in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when changes were made.
By using GigHive, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. For questions, contact admin@gighive.co.uk.
